This is how love is born

"She and I are now two separate individuals. Forever connected, never apart."
Cross-post from Ochre Sky Stories
In the creative writing workshop, Rhythm of our Stories, Raju and Vimal design exercises that enable the inner writer to break free. We use performance and poetry as magic carpets for our stories to travel. “Write a love story in 3 sentences,” they said. Prompt: Tiny love story Form: 3 sentences only Time: 4 minutes Listen to my response in the workshop. -

Love is born

It's a hospital, my body is out of control and convulsing, I am being wheeled to the delivery room, "Hold on, hold on, keep tight..." the obstetrician is yelling, but what can I do, my body seems to have a brain in my hips, they are moving in ways unfamiliar to me.

In the OT, my body expels my baby outside of itself - Naseem is born.

She and I are now two separate individuals, forever connected, never apart, this is love, this is how love is born, my beloveds.
